7DRL Day 5: The One of Many GIFs


This was a good day for Station Salvage:

1) In the middle of the day, I managed to get a neat effect to announce the game starting, game overs and possibly winning.


2) I started to think more about how the UI is laid out, and what kind of indicators I wanted for the player, resulting in a bit of a UI refactor.


3) Back into gameplay,  I was curious to see if I could make it so your weapon could destroy doors.


4) Then I solved an issue architecturally i was having: I couldn't figure out how to have objects in the world generate menus and provide actions for the player to perform. Solved that!

5) Leading to... Self Destruct! One of the main win/lose conditions of the game!


And so, with two days left... it's time to get into enemy behaviour and level generation properly...

This is going to be tight. Wish me luck!
